We're now accepting reservations through the end of May on Bookinb.com and airbnb.

May marks the start of the comfortable season, when the winds of the Yatsugatake Mountains calm down.

In fact, the best time of spring is from the second week after Golden Week, through the rainy season. You'll still need an outer layer, but the mornings and evenings are comfortable, and the mountain ranges look beautiful.

It's the time to prepare summer vegetables, but the onions planted in winter have grown into spring onions, and it's the beginning of the harvest season, when garlic and snap peas can be harvested one by one.

You can also enjoy hiking from Mt. Kayagatake, Mt. Senzuboshi (the azaleas on Mt. Amari bloom in early June), and Mt. Hinata.

Nirasaki is a post town, so be sure to stop by on your way to Matsumoto, Hakuba, Shizuoka, or Mt. Fuji.
